The Repair of Historic Wooden Windows - A wonderful resource by the US National Park Service with insightful information for those posed with the restore versus replicate dilemma.

Historic Windows Resource (HRW) - A company dedicated to preserving North America's architectural heritage... really good explanation on the importance of historical preservation.
Nova Scotia Heritage Property Program - If you think your property might qualify as a heritage property this site will be helpful.
John Leeke's Historic HomeWorks - This guy really understands the essence of old architecture... it is pretty much his life.
Old House Web - Excellent resource... just watch out for who they may be trying to promote however.
BladesNbits.com - Do you need an exact profile for mouldings in your house? Architectural router bits is this company's specialty and they do it well! High quality, highly detailed profiles at really great Canadian prices. We have yet to be dissapointed with any product from this company!
Classique Hardware - Specialty, hard-to-find, eloquent hardware. A Canadian company with very reasonable pricing for rare high quality items. They offer online purchasing in Canadian or US pricing!
Allen - A local company... Custom millwork at its best! Very good work and knowledge here.
Jost Architects - Located in Annapolis Royal, this reputable architecture firm has done a lot of heritage work. They can be reached at (902) 532-2395.
Renovators Resource Inc. - A Halifax company - "Architectural Salvage, Dismantling and Furniture" - A wonderful inventory of architectural salvage... worth checking out.
Lee Valley - If you cannot get the authentic restoration hardware you are looking for and have to go with reproduction hardware then Lee Valley might be a good option. They have excellent online shopping with high resolution images of their products. If you need to see the hardware in person they have a store in Halifax.
The Harwick Company - Developers of hardware products for the fenestration industry... quite nice stuff if you cannot find real restoration hardware.
Spanishlake Blacksmith shop - A bona fide, modern day blacksmith shop and farrier supplies... they can do very specialized work.
The House of Antique Hardware  - A marvelous selection of reproduction hardware.
Kilian Hardware  - This is an incredible hardware store... If you have been looking high and low for that certain piece of hardware and still cannot find it......
Phoenix Lock Company - Here you can get unique hardware - a fair bit different from the mainstream reproduction hardware sellers... I believe they have their own forms and moulds.
